Drum, Bass, & Guitar Lessons

Celebrating nearly 20 years of teaching students how to

'Make Some Noise!'.

If you are interested in learning to play the drums or a guitar, Mr Brown will take you step by step through the basics up to more advanced levels.

For DRUMS:

We will start by immediately learning to play a simple beat using high hat, snare drum and kick drum.

From there we move on to other practical rhythms, plus simple drum fills, and then to the 12 Bar Blues.

Afterwards, we learn more challenging rhythms, drum fills, and even to play along with various songs.

There are lots of fun and important aspects of drumming to learn including accents, rudiments, time signatures, poly-rhythms, and even double kick drum, etc.

For GUITAR:

We start by learning to play a few simple chords, then a basic strumming pattern, and then arrange them into a chord progression giving you the satisfaction of playing a song in no time.

From there we will learn more chord shapes, rhythms (including basic finger picking), bar chords, scales, melodic patterns, and modes., etc.

Our aim is to equip you to be able to jam along to music and/or other musicians using your ear and familiarity with melodic patterns along the fret-board.

Sand Mazes

For 5 years, Mr Brown has been designing and then digging an annual summer sand maze of fairly epic proportions.

Garden Art

Why does mowing the grass need to be so mundane?

Mr Brown doesn't think it does and so has always cut the grass in his garden with a design of his own making.

Anyone who sees it is uplifted; and who doesn't want a bit of a lift these days?
